"Stitcher Finishes" I see so many wonderful LHN and CCN finishes on the web that I wanted to take some time to devote a space on my web site to highlight a few. I did this a while back and everyone seemed to love viewing the unique and personal changes the stitchers made. This time I'd like to try to showcase "over one" and very high count "over two" stitching such as 40 count fabrics.
Pam from the Netherlands sent this photo of Heart and Home sampler with color variations. It's simply beautiful alongside the little gems scissors by Kelmscott.
Heart and Home Sampler
"Pear Tree Inn"
This is a miniature of our "Pear Tree Inn" design. It was stitched by my friend, Mary Jo hays and given to me a few months ago. I had it framed in a very rustic looking frame which seemed to fit the design perfectly. I keep it on my desk where I see it every day. Diane
"Sea to Shining Sea"
Jennifer was the model stitcher for the original model. She says she enjoyed it so much she stitched one for herself on 40 count Hog Wild Blue from R&R Reproductions. The frame is from Crescent Colours. I think it takes on such a different look done this way!
"Holly & Berries"
Dianne sent this wee version of Holly & Berries featuring 40 ct. Abecedarian Blend stitched over two. The fibers are DMC and she used one strand of floss. I love the frame she chose!
"Heart of America" (Old Glory Section)
Nita took a section of the large design, "Heart of America" to create this small design. The stitching is over one.
Adorable!
"The Rose in Morning"
The dollar bill shows just how small this design is. Julie stitched hers over one on Mushroom Lugana.
