First in a series of eight designs depicting young girls is Abigail Winslow. According to her diary entry (included in the chart pack), Abigail has returned to her home only to find her young siblings rummaging through her personal possessions in search of her diary. Abigail then hides her diary key (on the sampler) so that her secrets can remain hidden from prying eyes.
Each diary chartpack contains the chart for the sampler and the pillow. Abigails's pillow is that of Patience.
All of the designs are stitched with DMC thread and include a antique gold key. The pillows are mounted onto Weeks Dye Works wool. Olde Colonial Designs have framed the designs, adding an air of history to the story with their wonderful colonial styled moldings. The Abigail Winslow framed design was stitched on 28 count Examplar Linen from Lakeside Linens.
Special note of clarification: The pillow designs can be stitched on either 32 count linen or 16 count aida.
Mary Heaton, 1878
Second in the series is Mary Heaton who lives in Ft. Wayne. The pillow pattern included in this design is Friendship. The fabric used in the framed design is 28 count Light Mocha Cashel from Zweigart.
Elizabeth McGuire, 1763
Third in the series is Elizabeth McGuire who lives in the Shenandoah Valley. The pillow pattern included in this design is Kindness. The fabric used in the framed design is 28 count Light Examplar from Lakeside Linens.
Hannah Purington, 1796
Fourth in the series is Hannah Purington who lives in Harpswell, Maine. The pillow pattern included in this design is Honesty. The fabric used in the framed design is 28 count Rue Green Cashel Linen from Zweigart
Lucy Fairchild, 1860
Fifth in this series is Lucy Fairchild who lives in the pre-civil war city of Savannah, Georgia. The pillow featured is Peace. The design was stitched on 28 count Natural Raw linen from Zweigart with DMC floss.
Rebecca Small, 1887
Sixth in the series is Rebecca Small who lives in Abilene. The pillow pattern included in this design is Love. The fabric used in the framed design is 28 count Vintage Maritime White from Lakeside Linens.
Emmaline Whitcomb, 1852
The seventh Dear Diary design is the only one featuring two little girls. It is set in the town of Santa Clara, California and contains the pattern for the Mercy pillow of virtue. The fabric used in the design is 28 count Putty linen from Zweigart.
Julia Flynn, 1898
This is the eighth and final Dear Diary design, set in Steamboat, Colorado. The main design is stitched on 28 count River Willow linen from Lakeside Linens. This package features the pillow, Faith and also holds the free center design to stitch the sampler of virtues pictured below.
